Easy Sandwich Recipe

Ingredients:

Tomatoes                             4

Garlic cloves, crushed             2

Virgin olive oil                        3 tablespoon

Black pepper, freshly ground    

Baguette                              1

Small onion, thinly sliced          1

Green pepper, cut into rings     1

Lettuce leaves                      4

Canned anchovies                 50g

 

Method:

  1. Soak the canned anchovies in milk for 20 minutes. After that, drained, rinsed and pat dry.

  2. Skin and finely chop one tomato. Mix it with garlic, oil and some pepper.

  3. Spilt the baguette along one side, without cutting right through the crust. Open it out and lies it flat. Spread the tomato mixture evenly on the bread.

  4. slice the other 3 tomatoes and place on the half baguette, with the onion and pepper rings. Arrange the lettuce leave and anchovies on top and cover with the other half of the baguette.

  5. Press down to compress the sandwich and allow the flavors to blend. Cut the sandwich diagonally into 4 pieces and serve.
