German Desserts  - Streuselkuchen

Ingredients:

 

Butter            150g

Sugar             75g

Vanillin Sugar   8g

Eggs               2

Flour               200g

Baking Powder  2 teaspoons

Canned Cherry  1

 

Crumbles:

Flour               150g

Sugar              50g

Vanillin Sugar    8g

Butter             100g

 

 

Method:

  1. Remove the cherry from water and pat dry.

  2. Sift the flour and baking powder into a mixing bowl. Combine flour, baking powder, eggs, sugar and vanillin sugar and mix it well.

  3. Prepare a baking pan. Spread some butter on it. Preheat the oven to 320°F (air circulation).

  4. Pour the mixture from step 2 into baking pan. Spread it evenly. Place the cherry on top of the mixture.

  5. Combine all ingredients for crumbles in another mixing bowl. Crumble over cake.

  6. Bake for 60 ~ 65 minutes.

Tips: Canned cherry can also be replaced by apples or peach.
