Apples with Toast

Ingredients:

 

Butter                   30g

Apples                   5

Fresh Lemon Juice   3 tablespoons

Maple Syrup           3 tablespoons

Wholemeal Bread     6 slices

Sugar                    1 tablespoons

 

Method:

  1. Cut the apple into half and remove the core. Slice into thin pieces.

  2. Preheat the Oven to 475°F.

  3. Melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add in apple pieces, lemon juice and maple syrup. Cook until the apples are soft. (about 5 minutes)

  4. Drain the fluid from the mixture in a bowl and put it aside. Leave the apple slices cool slightly.

  5. Divide the apple evenly among the whole meal bread and overlapping it slightly.

  6. Sprinkle some sugar on each pieces of apple toast.

  7. Bake for about 5 minutes or until the apple slices are hot and bread are crisp.

  8. Dribble some fluid from step 4 on each apple toast and serve hot.
