Special Meat Ball Recipe

Ingredients:

Ground pork/beef  400g

shrimp                100g

Green Onion

Dried Shrimp         40g

Ginger, grated       3

Water Chestnut     8

Mushroom             4

Egg                     1

Soy Sauce            2 teaspoons

Salt

Sesame oil            1 teaspoon

Wine                    1 teaspoon

Pepper

Corn Starch          1 tablespoon

Glutinous rice        1 cup

Cabbage leave       4 pieces.

 

Method:

  1. Wash and soak the glutinous rice for 1 hour.

  2. Wash and remove the shell of shrimps. Mash it.

  3. Cut the green onion, mushroom, water chestnut and dried shrimp into small slices.

  4. Drain the soaking water of glutinous rice. and let it dry.

  5. In a mixing bowl, combine all ingredients except the glutinous rice and eggs at step 2. Mix it well

  6. Divide the meat mixture into serving portion and make it round. Roll the meat ball over glutinous rice.

  7. Wash and pat dry the cabbage leaves. Put it in boiling water for about 30 second.

  8. Layer the cabbage leave on a plate for steamer. Place the meatball on the cabbage. Steam for 12 minutes with high heat.
