Swedish Meatball Recipe

Ingredients:

Ground pork               250g

Ground beef               250g

Egg                           1

Low fat Cream             100ml

Water                        100 - 200ml

Onion Grated               2 1/2 tablespoons

Unsweetened rusk flour 50mg

Potato                       2

Butter                        2 tablespoon

Salt

Pepper

 

Method:

  1. Heat the butter in frying pan over low heat. Saut¨¦ the onion until it is golden in color.

  2. Boil the potato until it is cooked. Mash the potato when it is cool. Add some water into rusk flour.

  3. Combine all dry ingredients in a big bowl. Add in cream. Add water slowly into the mixture to control the moistness of the mixtures. Add in pepper and salt.

  4. Use 2 spoons to make the meatballs.

  5. Heat some butter in a frying pan over the low heat. Cook the meatballs. When it is hot, add in the sauce.

 

Tips:

Unsweetened rusk flour can be replaced by breadcrumbs.

Traditional Swedish meatballs is having the meatballs with potato salad and lingoberry sauce.
