Japanese Miso Black Cod Recipe

Ingredients:

 

Black cod fish fillet     1 or 2 pieces

Japanese fish broth    1 cup

Soy Sauce                2 ~ 3 tablespoons

Mirin                        1 tablespoons

Sugar                       1 tablespoons

Sakae                       1 tablespoons

Ginger                       3 ~ 4 pieces

Green Onion, shreded

Green vegetable

 


Method:

  1. Cut the green onion in lengthwise and soak it into ice water.

  2. Pour the broth into a boiler. Add ginger, mirin, soy sauce, sugar and sakae. Cook in over medium heat and bring it to a boil. When it is boiled, put it the fillet.

  3. Pour some of the boiling sauce on the fillet. Cook for about 2 ~ 3 minutes, switch to low heat and cover with a lid. Cook for another 5 ~6 minutes.

  4. Remove the lid, switch to medium heat. Pour some of the boiling sauce on it. Cook for another 5 ~ 6 minutes. Remove from heat.

  5. Put the fillet on serving plate with some green onions and vegetables. Pour some sauce over it. Serve immediately.
